Yesterday I opened my letter box to find a greeting card from my best friend (we’ve known each other since I was 16 … that’s almost 12 years!!) I don’t have my birthday coming up and Christmas still has a bit to come. He bought the card just because it reminded him of me and wanted to say thank you for still being there, even though we now live in two different countries. It had me laughing and crying at the same time (in the middle of the road, may I add).
A bit later, I find an email in my inbox from Tiffany of The Curiosity Project … it was the address of my secret recipient! (For those of you who haven’t heard about it, this project is “a mass exchange of personally chosen gifts between anonymous participants”). This had me thinking … Isn’t it nice to give something to somebody just because? And not think about receiving anything in return?
