Hello lovelies!

Now that the second issue of Wedding DAY is out, it is about time I show you some of the pictures from the first issue. Since it was a Valentine’s issue, we decided to go with reds and pinks … but to avoid it being tacky and the usual stuff, I proposed we go with a touch of ombre. Those who follow me on Pinterest know that I’m crazy about ombre, so I was over the moon when Jessica Moritz, the photographer and creative director, really liked the idea as well.

With the help of Marquita from Wedding Bells, we styled our very gorgeous model Bettina Pace in a short dress (wish I had the legs for such a dress 🙂 ), and accessorized with a pretty headband, long veil and a cuff. Flowers were by Joseph of Flower Arts. Hair was done by Flavia Attard (tel: 774558213) and makeup by the very talented Daniela Cassar (tel: 99130575). I wanted to go for a young look on the groom as well, so I sourced red Converse for him (provided by Urban Culture), and with the help of Joseph Cefai from Cefai Formal Wear found a not-too-formal suit for Lauren Lee. Instead of the usual boutonniere, I made a fabric heart that I pinned on to his shirt.

Those amazing red velvet cupcakes were by none other than Glorianne of Cuppy Cupcakes … the frosting on each cupcake was different … we had ombre cupcakes! The signs we used behind the cupcakes and during the outdoor shoot are relatively easy to make … I (my dear husband to be exact 😉 ) cut out the letters from cardstock and then we sprinkled glitter all over. We then glued them to a cute heart ribbon I had found at the crafts store.

Joseph transformed a plain wrought-iron chandelier into an ombre masterpiece with ribbons and ombre roses! We chose fuchsia as a base color for the table and then added some ombre and Valentine elements. The chairs were from LDK (I really wish I could keep them for my home!) and tableware was from Cose Casa. The centrepiece was of course ombre as well! I cut out little felt fabric hearts that I scattered on the table (for those who like the idea for their wedding, let me warn that while they are really easy to make, they are also really time consuming, plus you’ll have aching fingers for some time.) I also used clay chalkboard hearts as placecards … I wrote the name on the heart itself (these are also available for rentals … please feel free to contact me).

Thanks to Jessica Moritz and Josanne Cassar for believing in me and for letting me show these pictures, and to all the time for making my job such an enjoyable one!

For more pictures, hop on over to Wedding DAY 🙂
